John Barr

John T. Barr, 73, of Sassamansville, passed away peacefully at home on October 28, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Janet L. (Helm) Barr. They celebrated 37 years of marriage in March. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Scott) Barr. He served his country honorably in the Navy and the National Guard. Prior to retiring in 2005, he was employed by SSI in Pennsburg. Along with his wife, he is survived by two sons: John R. Barr and his wife Tina, of Sassamansville, and Scott Barr of Arizona; a daughter, Heather Barr of Arizona; and grandchildren: Janell L. Barr and John C. Barr. Services will be held privately and have been entrusted to Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg. He will be laid to rest in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Heartland Hospice, 881 Marcon Blvd, #3700, Allentown, PA 18109.
