Joel Ann Russ

Joel Ann Russ, 82, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Born in Lackawanna, New York, she was a daughter of the late John and Elaine (Cuffe) Russ. She had a career in Dental hygiene and a second career in home health care. She enjoyed art and theater, especially while living in New York City. She was always fashion conscious. She enjoyed traveling to Ireland and visited that country multiple times and enjoyed reading about Ireland when she was no longer able to travel there. She was an animal lover and enjoyed the love and companionship of numerous dogs and cats over the years.

Joel is survived by her brothers & sisters: Elaine Lynn Ross, John W. Russ, Michael S. Russ, Patrice A. Russ-Carter, and Gerard G. Russ; many nieces and nephews; and a sister in law Laura M. (formerly Russ) Miller. She was predeceased by her parents and by her nephew G. Scott Russ.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced at a later date.
