Joaquin “Jack” Rodriquez, 68, of Portage, IN and formerly of Bethlehem, passed away July 1, 2013 at the Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the beloved husband of Luzeleida “Ellie” (Suarez) Rodriquez. Born in Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Joaquin and Maria (Rodriguez) Rodriquez. Jack was a machinist for Mittal Steel, (formerly Bethlehem Steel), Burns Harbor, IN. He was both a Navy and Marine veteran of Vietnam. Jack was a member of the East Lake Baptist Church, Crown Point, IN. He was a former coach and past president of the South Side Little League, Bethlehem. Surviving with his wife, are sons: Michael, and his wife, Clarrissa, of Austin, TX; and Marc-Jason, and his wife, Dana, of Reno, NV; granddaughters: Jasmine Paige Rodriquez, and Monique Rodriquez, both of Portage, IN; a great-granddaughter: Isabella Mae Rodriquez; siblings: Aida Cabassa, of Bethlehem; Florinda, wife of Billy Cope, and Louis Rodriguez, both of Allentown; Ada Swain, of New Smyrna Beach, FL; Jose Rodriguez, and his wife, Arlene, of Walnutport; and Victor Rodriguez, and his wife Eva, of Caguas, Puerto Rico; and many friends and extended family that loved him. He was pre-deceased by a sister Elizabeth Clapp. Services will be private. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Hellertown, has been entrusted with arrangements.
