Jerry W. Hunsberger, 87, of Green Lane, died February 26, 2011. He was the husband of Florence (Roeder) Smith Hunsberger. Born in Green Lane, he was a son of the late Charles and Florence (Kline) Hunsberger. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He worked over 40 years as a mechanic and then owner of C.W. Hunsberger Estates, Green Lane, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pennsburg. He was also a member of Perkiomen Lodge # 595 of the F.& A.M., Red Hill; the Rajah Shrine, Reading; the Lehigh Consistory, Valley of Allentown; the Green Lane Fire Company, the Pike Township Sportsmen's Assn., the V.F.W., Post #5954, Red Hill; and the 42nd Infantry Rainbow Division.
Surviving: Wife; Sons: Dennis, of Telford; Neal, and his wife, Carol, of Perkiomenville; and Jerry, of Stroudsburg; Sisters: Florence Spohn, of Florida; and Lillian Shupe, of Frederick; 4 grandchildren: Michael, Joanne, Karen, and Jeffrey; and 5 great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Sarah, Erica, Brianna, and Leah. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Claire, Robert, Paul, Percival, Harry, John, Wallace, Roy and Marie; and grandsons: Sean & Justin.
Services: will be at 11 AM on Wednesday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. A viewing will be from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, and from 10-11 AM Wednesday. Interment will be at Friedens Union Cemetery, Sumneytown.
