Jean Wentzel

Jean Elaine Wentzel, 84, of Pennsburg, and formerly of Green Lane, passed away May 18, 2020. She was the widow of Frederick James Wentzel. Born in Pennsburg, she was a daughter of the late Howard R. and Erma K. (Seibert) Beard. Jean was a server for the former Rosenberger’s Dairy for 8 years, retiring in 1996. She was a member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Red Hill Fire Company. Surviving are children: Karen Engle, wife of Gary Cox, of Red Hill; Sheila, wife of Clair Huber, of Mildred, PA; Robert Wentzel, and his wife, Christine of Green Lane; Joseph Wentzel, and his wife Crystal, of Gilbertsville; and Frederick Wentzel, and his wife Dawne, of Souderton; grandchildren: Holly, Drew, Sean, Tanya, Jeremy, Marysa, Celina, Katelyn, Michael, Ryan, Harper, Kohen, Berklee, and Lexzington; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her siblings: William and Howard Beard, and Ada Quigley; and her son-in-law: William Engle. Services will be private. Jean will be interred next to her husband at St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery, Pennsburg.
