Janice Henson

Dr. Janice O.Henson, EdD., 89, of East Greenville, PA, departed this life at Lehigh Valley Hospital on July 16, 2015. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Henson who died in 1998. Born in Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Lottie (Biddle) Oertel. Jan was a teacher to exceptional and learning disabled children in the North Penn School District in Lansdale, PA, until her retirement in 1993. Prior to that, she was employed by the Greece, NY, School District from 1963 to 1967. She was of the Episcopal faith, & a member of the National Council for Exceptional Children and the International Association for Children With Learning Disabilities. She was one special lady! She is survived by a daughter, Linda, with whom she resided; & a son Jonathan & his wife Susan, of Florence, MA; her grandchildren: Abigail Mahar & Jesse Henson, their spouses: Ryan & Ari; a great granddaughter Kelsey, nieces & nephews. A Celebration Of Life service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, August 29 at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg, PA. All are invited to gather at the funeral home from 12 PM She will be interred privately with her husband at Woodlawn Cemetery in Syracuse, NY. “Together Forever”.
