Janet Carol Sickel

The world lost a beloved mother and grandmother, Janet (JJ) Sickel, 81, of Bethlehem, on December 29, 2020. She was the wife of the late William A. Sickel who passed on February 3, 2012. Born in Allentown on June 24, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Simons) Duh. Janet and her husband owned and operated the Hallmark Store (formerly the Garden of Paper) in Hazelton, NJ. Janet is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Lopez) Price of Bethlehem; her stepdaughter, Holly, wife of Leonard Snyder of Doylestown; and her grandchildren: Brittney Price, Dr. Victoria Wermuth, Devon Lopez, Alexis Lopez; and her step-grandchildren: Kelyn, wife of Mike Simmons, Katie, Josh, Jared, and Christian Snyder. Along with her husband, she was predeceased by a son Edward Lopez and a sister, Donna Juhasz. Due to the current health crisis, a celebration of Janet’s life will be held privately.
