James Zuppert

James C. Zuppert Sr., 78, of Whitehall, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 24, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Evelyn Janice (Kurak) Zuppert. Born in Ashland, he was the son of the late Charles and Mary (Campbell) Zuppert. He served his country in the Air Force. He worked for the Wilson Jones Co., in New Jersey, and retired from Allentown Mazda Volvo in 1997 after over 20 years of service. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Allentown. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Allentown and the Fullerton Fire Co. Survivors: Wife; children: Jeffrey (Sheila) Gilfillan of Deer Lake, Sandra, wife of Michael Bluis of Allentown, Mary, wife of Michael Briody of Whitehall, James Jr. of Lehighton, Michele, wife of Ramar Bunce of Northampton, and Patricia, wife of Corey Leibenguth of Catasauqua; grandchildren: Jeffrey Jr., Justin G., Michele and her husband Mike, Elizabeth, Christina, Logan, Brittany, Justin B., Colton, Mason, Nicholas, Jakey; great grandchildren: Chase, A.J., and Michael on the way; a niece, Shannon DeWit; and nephews: Richard, Patrick, Michael, and Timothy Brogan. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Shirley Zuppert Snyder. Services: Funeral Mass, Wednesday, 12:00 PM, Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 444 N. Jasper St., Allentown. All are invited to viewings from 6:30 – 8 PM on Tuesday, at the Falk Funeral Home & Crematory, 1418 Main St., Hellertown and 11 – 12 PM on Wednesday at the church.
