James Schankweiler

November 5, 1956 — October 29, 2017

James L. Schankweiler, 60, of East Greenville, passed away October 29, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Sydney (Osborn) Schankweiler. The couple was married 38 years in September. Born in Lansdale, he was a son of Chester L. Schankweiler, of Lansdale, and the late Nancy M. (Hertzog) Schankweiler. Jim was employed in the Environmental Services Dept. of Grand View Hospital. Prior to that, he was a punch press operator for the former Ametek Gauge Co. He was a member of the West Green Lane Congregation of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was also a member of the North Penn Gun Club. He enjoyed camping and fishing and especially going to Knoebel’s Grove. Surviving with his wife, are children: Ashley and Kyndel, wife of Charles Chew, all of East Greenville; Travis, and his wife, Amanda, of Augusta, Georgia; and Quenten, of Quakertown; siblings: Debbie Schankweiler, of Shamokin; Robert, and his wife, Seanne, of Chipley, Florida; and Matthew, and his wife, Rene, of Lansdale; and grandchildren: Estrella, Gracie, Wyatt, and Noah. He was pre-deceased by a daughter, Danielle Schwankweiler. A Memorial Talk will be at 2 PM on Saturday, November 4th at the Kingdom Hall, 26 Hendricks Road, Perkiomenville PA 18074.
