James Walter Oszeyczik, 70, of Blair Road, Bethlehem, passed away March 27, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Bonnie (Boatwright) Oszeyczik. Born in Plainfield, NJ, he was a son of the late John and Helen (Potenski) Oszeyczik. He was a graduate of Monmouth College. He began his career as an elementary school teacher in Holland Twp., NJ; and then taught more than 30 years at the Alpha Public School, Alpha, NJ, until retiring in 1999. More recently, Jim was an equipment manager for Moravian College. He was a member of Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. Jim was also a long-time member of the Forks of the Delaware, Chapter 14, Society for PA Archeology. He enjoyed being outdoors-- fishing, gardening, traveling, and metal detecting. Jim was especially fond of all things history. He was a Civil War buff, having visited Gettysburg numerous times. Surviving with his wife, are children: Kyle Oszeyczik, and his wife, Joanna, of Phoenixville; and Jamie, wife of Neil Laslo, of Hellertown; and 3 grandchildren: Madison, Dylan, and Gavin. He was pre-deceased by a brother, John. Services: A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11 AM on Tuesday at the church, 2700 Jacksonville Road, Bethlehem, 18017. Friends may visit from 10-11 AM.
