James Matthew Miller, 88, of East Sixth Street, Red Hill, entered into Eternal Rest on May 20, 2010 peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Geraldine (Getz) Miller. Born in Vera Cruz, he was a son of the late Herald E. and Alice (Hartman) Miller. He was employed at the Occidental Chemical Company, Pottstown for 26 years, retiring in 1985. Prior to that, he was employed at the former Firestone Tire & Rubber Co., Pottstown. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. Mr. Miller was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Red Hill. He was a lifetime member of the Pennsburg Fire Company; and a member of the East Greenville Fire Company, the Sellersville Moose, the Upper Perkiomen Senior Citizens Center, the Butter Valley Golf Port, Gilbertsville, and the Senior Citizens Bowling League, East Greenville. Jimmy enjoyed bowling, golf, wood crafts, and many wonderful trips to Florida with his wife and family. He loved walking on the Daytona Beach and many visits to Disney World and other Florida sites. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Geraldine, with 63 years of wonderful memories. He was a loving, caring, and fun Dad and Pop-Pop. Surviving: with his wife, is a daughter, Bonnie, wife of Joseph E. Nimerfroh, of Chester Springs, PA; sisters, Arlene, wife of Henry Huber of Sellersville; and Edith, wife of Eugene Leister, of Quakertown; grandchildren: Wendy, wife of Thomas Kuhn and Jonathan Nimerfroh; and great-grandchildren: Preston, Elizabeth, and Madeline Kuhn. He was pre-deceased by a grandson David Alex Nimerfroh on June 6, 2007. Services: A Celebration of Life will be at 1 PM on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg.
