James R. "Jim" Kemp, Sr., 77, of East Greenville passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026. Born on October 13, 1948, he was the son of the late Clifford and Grace (Reigner) Kemp. He was the loving husband of Carole A. (Moyer) Kemp.
Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army for 18 years, serving 2 tours in Vietnam. He went on to have a successful career at Mack Truck and Knoll Inc. Jim enjoyed going to as many local car shows as possible, often showing his 1939 Chevy sedan delivery. He was an avid Steeler fan.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Carole A. Kemp; son, James R. Kemp, Jr.; grandchildren, Joy Rose and Eva Louise Kemp; sister-in-law, Dian, wife of Neil Gery and brother-in-law, Laverne Moyer and nieces, Christa and Tara. Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Ann Kemp; sister, Rose Comfort; brother, Harold Kemp and nephew, Harold "Corky" Kemp, Jr.
A viewing will be held on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 9-11 a.m. at Falk Funeral Homes and Crematory, 163 Main St. Pennsburg, PA 18073. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friedens UCC, 1011 Church St. Sumneytown, PA 18084.
