James D. Bartholomew, 91, of Cramer's Lane, Easton died July 20, 2011. He was the loving husband of Barbara B. (Buss) Bartholomew. Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Benjamin F. and Ruth H. (Vaughn) Bartholomew. He served his country honorably during the Korean War in the Marine Corps. He began as a carpenter's apprentice for Collins & Maxwell, and eventually owned his own business, James D. Bartholomew Contractor & Building, Easton until he retired. He was a member of AARP, a past president of the Kiwanis of Palmer Twp., and a member of Green Pond Country Club where he was an avid golfer. Surviving: wife; children, Rev. James D. Bartholomew, Jr., and his wife Evelyn, of West Melbourne, FL; Kathy, wife of Domenic Ruggiero, of Saylorsburg; and Jeffrey and Mark Bartholomew, both of Easton; 2 step-children; 4 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 4 step-grandchildren; and his first wife Carolyn E. Braun, of Easton. Graveside services will be held privately. Arrangements are by the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Hellertown.
