Jakob Gusenko

Jakob R. Gusenko, 85, of Pennsburg, passed away October 14, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Maja (Pampuch) Gusenko. Born in the Ukraine, he was the last of eleven children of the late Rudolph and Polly Gusenko. Jakob was the lead technologist for C&D Battery, now of Conshocken, for over 35 years. He loved his family; and, he enjoyed woodworking, car mechanics and hunting. He came to this country, became an American citizen and found the American Dream. Surviving with his wife, are his children: Michael, and his wife, Linda, of Hatfield; Lena, wife of John Hopkins, of Sinking Spring; and Vicki Gusenko-Routson, and her husband David; and two grandchildren: John Wesley Hopkins and Alexandra Maja Hopkins. Services will be at 11 AM on Monday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. A visitation will be from 10-11 AM. Burial will follow at New Goshenhoppen UCC Cemetery..
