Jacob Byerley

July 1, 1934 — March 1, 2015

Jacob W. Byerley, 80, of Hellertown, passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Jean (Barrell) Byerley of 55 years. Born in Weissport, he was a son of the late Charles and Myrtle (Knappenberger) Byerley. He served his country honorably in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked in the Horticultural / General Services Division of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 32 years before retiring in 1992. He was a member of Lower Saucon United Church of Christ, the Edward F. Ackerman Post of the American Legion in Hellertown, and the Bethlehem Panthers A.A. Surviving with his wife are two sisters-in-law, Marjorie and Doris Byerley. He was predeceased by brothers, Charles Jr. and Bob, and sisters: Pearl & Myrtle; and nieces and nephews. Services: 11 AM, Friday, Falk Funeral Home, 1418 Main St., Hellertown, PA 18055, where all are invited to visit from 10 AM.
