Ivan Anthony James Evitts

Ivan A. J. Evitts, 83, East Greenville passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24th, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. Evitts. Born in Birmingham, England, he was the son of the late Henry and Lavinia (Rowley) Evitts.

An avid sportsman, Ivan played English football (soccer) and was Captain of his local cricket team in his younger years. Ivan rooted for Aston Villa Football team. Earning a master’s degree from Aston Technical College in Birmingham, he worked for many years as a Mechanical Draftsman. After retiring early at age 63, Ivan took up golfing, and worked part-time as a groundskeeper for Sutton Coldfield Golf Club in the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield, England. - He even got a hole-in-one, which was an accomplishment he was immensely proud of.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children: Adele Averill and her husband William. Averill of East Greenville, and son David Evitts and his wife Charlotte in Shenstone, Lichfield, England, grandsons: William Ivan David Averill and James Henry Averill of East Greenville, and Louis James Evitts and Henry James Evitts in England. Siblings: Lavinia (Vinny) Brown, Hazel Page, and Robert Archer in England. In addition to his parents, Ivan was predeceased by brothers Brian Evitts and Marshall Evitts.

Ivan will always be remembered as a gentleman. He was kind and loving, he had that British sense of humor. He adored his wife, children and four grandsons. He traveled to many destinations, was married to the love of his life, Patricia for 61 years. He had a life well lived. He will be missed always. Until we meet again.

An intimate celebration of Ivan’s life will be held at Wind Hill Farms, 1338 Wind Hill Rd, Coopersburg, PA 18036, on Friday July 21st from 6:30pm – 8:30pm.
