Ileen Birnbaum

Ileen Mildred Birnbaum, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away November 16, 2014. She was married to her beloved husband, David R. Birnbaum for over 68 years. Born in Easton on September 8, 1923, she was a daughter of late Raymond and Imelda (Geiss) Whitehead. Raised in Bethlehem, she graduated from Liberty High School and then Moravian College for Women in 1946. Ileen was involved with Meals on Wheels for 30 years. Her past times were gardening, traveling, bridge, fishing and hunting. Survivng: Husband; Sons: Raemond, and his wife Patricia; and David, and his wife Merle; Grandchildren: Douglas, Adam and Rachel; and Great Grandchildren: Jayden, Lucas and Mathias. She was predeceased by a brother: 2nd Lt. Ronald Whitehead. Services: 10 am, Tuesday, November 25, 2014, Cathedral Church of the Nativity, 321 Wyandotte St, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
