Hugh L. "General" Custer

Hugh L. "General" Custer, 95, of Telford and previously of East Greenville, passed away on March 16, 2026, at Lutheran Community at Telford.

He was born April 24, 1930, in East Greenville, the son of the late Paul and Anna (Schell) Custer. Hugh was well liked by those he met. And he was well known in the community throughout his life. Hugh was an avid Dodgers Fan.

Hugh was a faithful member of. St Mark Lutheran Church in Pennsburg, where he remained connected to his community throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, June Renninger (Bauman) Custer; his sisters, Nancy Jane Custer, Pauline Guarante, and Hilda Bates.

He is survived by his nephews: Jeff Bauman and Jim Bauman; and nieces: Judy Manspeaker and Jane Bauman.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Falk Funeral Homes and Crematory, 163 Main St. Pennsburg, PA 18073 from 10 am -11 am with a funeral service to follow in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St Mark's Lutheran Cemetery.
