Helga Treffinger

Helga Treffinger, 83, of East Greenville, passed away June 29, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Edward Treffinger. They were married for over 62 years. Born in Berlin, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Ludwig and Ida Kuffner. Helga was an employee for the Upper Perkiomen School District for 32 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Post # 184, in Palm and was an active member of the East Greenville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary for many years. Helga enjoyed traveling with Ed and time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Surviving with her husband, are children: Michael, and his wife, Mary, of Rock Hall, MD; Susan, wife of Heston Swartley, of Sellersville; Christine, wife of Michael Lindsay, of Hereford; and Lisa, wife of Richard Sames, of East Greenville; grandchildren: Alyssa, Scott, Taylor, Nikolaus, and Morgan; and great-grandchildren: Berlyn and Jaxtyn. She was pre-deceased by her siblings: Horst, Hilda, and Gerda. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 81 N.
