Helen V. Szegda, 86, of the Frederick Mennonite Community, and formerly of Green Lane, died Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Stephen Szegda. They were married 61 years this past September. Born in Czechoslovakia, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Louise Gallo. She and her husband owned and operated the Colonial House Antiques, Green Lane until retiring in 2002. She was an antiques collector and an artist. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg and was a former member of the Green Lane Lioness’ Club. Surviving with her husband, is a son, Stephen, and his wife, Kathryn, and 2 grandchildren: Christine and Gregory, all of Wilmington, DE. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Victor, and a sister, Mary. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Feb 6, 2008 at 11 AM at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. A visitation will be from 10 AM until services. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
