Helen Harriet (Kroboth) Rauscher, 89, of Taylorsville, NC (formerly of Mt. Bethel, PA), passed away peacefully in Bethlehem, PA on Saturday, July 10th, 2021. She was the wife of the late Victor Rauscher Jr. Born December 29, 1931 in Plainfield Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Theresia (Deutsch) Kroboth. She worked at Berkheimer Associates and Pen Argyl Glove for many years. As a lifelong learner and champion of young people, she volunteered in classrooms in both PA and NC for the past 20 years until the pandemic. She also served in leadership positions at Christ Lutheran Church (Stone Church, PA), the Upper Mt. Bethel Township (UMBT) Board of Supervisors, Slate Belt Little League, and the UMBT Election Board. An avid sports fan, she supported her children and grandchildren at their events across Pennsylvania and North Carolina. In her spare time, Helen loved to read and knit scarves for her family, friends, and homeless shelters. She is survived by her children: Vicki (Joseph) Cable of State College, PA; Victor (Kerry Murphy) Rauscher III of Schenectady, NY; and Todd (Pam) Rauscher of Taylorsville, NC; nine grandchildren: Joseph Jr., Christopher, Matthew, Lauren, and Lindsay Cable; Nicole, Daniel, and David Rauscher; and William Murphy; and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by six brothers: Rudolph, Frank, William, Francis, Richard, and Charles Kroboth and four sisters: Anna Ionno, Teresa Mascisak, Margaret Cech, and Elsie Loh. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on August 7, 2021, at Reformation Lutheran Church, Taylorsville, NC. She will be laid to rest at 4:00 PM on August 14, 2021, in Riverview Cemetery, Portland PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to “ELCA World Hunger” at ELCA, P.O.
