Helen Mae Mensch

Helen Mae Mensch, 81, of Barto, passed away July 27, 2022. She was the widow of Clarence C. Mensch. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond & Luella (Ruppert) Albitz. Helen was a graduate of East Greenville High School. Earlier in life she was a seamstress for the former Jennifer Ann Factory in Red Hill and the former Pennsburg Pants Factory. She was a member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ, where she was active on the Fellowship Committee and was a former Consistory member.

Surviving are her children: Wendy Smedley, of Bechtelsville; Daryl Mensch, and his wife Kellie, and Holly, wife of Irv Lash, all of Pennsburg; brothers: Harold Albitz, and his wife, JoAnn, Herman Albitz, and his wife, Linda, both of Barto, and Donald Albitz, and his wife, Glenna of Boyertown; and grandchildren: Renee, Baylee, Alicia, Weston, Cassie, Jaryn, Aidan, Caleb, Brody, and Derek.

A Viewing will be from 9:30 -11 AM on Saturday, August 6th at the Pennsburg United Church of Christ, 775 Main Street, Pennsburg. A Service will follow at 11 AM. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
