Helen Marzec

Helen M. Marzec, 80, of Easton Road, Hellertown, died May 4, 2008 at Valley Manor Nursing Center, Coopersburg. She was the widow of Edward Marzec. Helen was a daughter of the late Stefan and Mary (Tutko) Slachta. She was a seamstress for several factories in the Bethlehem area. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Hellertown. She was a wonderful mother and she loved to play Bingo. Surviving: Sons, Edward, Robert, Kevin, all of Hellertown; John, of Bethlehem; Sisters: Mary Steager, of Bethlehem, Agnes Walter, of Strausstown; and Elsie Staffieri, of Hellertown; brothers Michael of Hellertown and Stephen, of Catasuaqua; and grandchildren, Sara & Benjamin. She was pre-deceased by a son, Richard; and siblings, Betty Abel, and Andrew, Joseph, and John Slachta. Services: 10 AM on Wednesday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown, followed by Mass at 10:30AM at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church.
