Helen N Harvat

Helen "Dovey" N. Harvat, 92, of Broadway NJ passed away August 19th, 2026 at the home of her daughter in Hellertown, PA, into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born August 26th, 1933 in New York, NY, she was raised in Flemington NJ. She was the daughter of the late Hugh Capelle Sr. and Helen (Steuber) Capelle. She was a graduate of Flemington High (Flemington, NJ) in 1950. Helen worked as an insurance representative for many years with Bowers, Schumann and Welch, in Washington, NJ. She enjoyed her yardwork, sewing (often without patterns), ceramics, word find books and tending to her many kitties. She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Washington, NJ. Helen was affectinately nicknamed "Lovey Dovey" for her sweet and gentle nature.

She is survived by her children: Ginger Petrie, Hellertown, PA, Susan Stanko, Hellertown PA and James W. Harvat, Bangor PA. Many nieces, nephews, in-laws and grandchildren: Mitchell, Max Wm. (Joleen), Ashlyn, Jimmy, LeighRose, Joey and Sarah (Christopher). Great-grandchildren Prince and Nyrah. In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her ex-husband James C. Harvat, sister Dorothy Lesanics, brother Hugh Capelle Jr, Son-in-law Eddie Stanko and beloved son Mitchell Harvat.
