Helen Bower

Helen M. Bower, 84, of the Frederick Living Community, and formerly of Pennsburg, passed away April 25, 2014. She was the widow of Paul F. Bower. Born in Englesville, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Ivy (Prutzman) Fryer. She and her husband owned the Pennsburg Dry Cleaners. Helen belonged to Pennsburg United Church of Christ, where she was a former member of the Consistory, the choir, and the Fellowship Committee. She was a past Noble Grand Matron of the Laurel Rebekah Lodge, #593, Boyertown; and a past Matron of the Perkiomen Chapter of the Eastern Star, #318. Surviving is a son, Ricki, and his wife, Suzanne, of West Norriton; sister: Marguerite Ewing, Pottstown; and grandchildren: Dustin, Benjamin, and Katrina. She was pre-deceased by siblings: Arthur, Paul, Robert, Ruth, and Mary. Services will be at 11 AM on Saturday at Pennsburg UCC. A viewing will be from 10-11 AM at the church.
