Hector Sampayo

Hector M. Sampayo Jr., 63, of East Greenville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at Fox Chase Cancer Center. He was the beloved husband of Maryann E. (Moyer) Sampayo. Born in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Miriam (Trumbore) Sampayo of East Greenville, and Hector M. Sampayo Sr. of Puerto Rico. He was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High and received a BS in Business Administration from Penn State University in 1969. Following his graduation, he served his country honorably in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Until his retirement in 2008, he was a Regional Manager for Harleysville Insurance. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg. He was also a member of the Upper Perkiomen Lions Club and served on the Upper Montgomery Joint Authority, and he was a past president of the former Upper Perkiomen Recreation Council. Surviving with his wife is a son Gary; and a daughter, Valerie; grandchildren, Sabrina and Justin; and a sister Cynthia A. wife of Alan Mennel. Services: A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. Call from 9:30 - 11 am at the funeral home.
