Harry O'Neal

Harry D. O’Neal Harry D. O’Neal, 90, formerly of Fountain Hill, Rhode Island, and California, died July 5, 2008. He was the husband of Charlotte M. (Souders) McElhenny O’Neal and the late Ruth (Frankhouser) O’Neal. Born in Uniontown, PA, he was a son of the late Grant and Irene (Tantlinger) O’Neal. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was employed for 37 years with the St. Regis Paper Co. in various places, including Allentown, Baltimore, Seekonk, MS, and Burlingame, CA where he was the West Coast Manager of Packaging Enginnering for 26 years, retiring in 1986. He was an active member of Fritz Memorial United Methodist Church, Bethlehem. He ws the second Preisdent of the Bethlehem Council of Protestant Churches. He was a member of the F.& A.M., Baltimore, and the Tall Cedars, Fountain Hill. Surviving with his wife, are 2 step-daughters: Carol, wife of James Hannon, of Bethlehem; and Sue, wife of Daniel Miller, of Allentown; a brother, Donald, of Confluence, PA, a sister, Gladys, wife of George Bowser, of Ursina, PA, 6 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a son, Harry Delbert O’Neal. Memorial Services will be 2 PM Thursday at Fritz Memorial U.M. Church, 303 Packer Ave., Bethlehem.
