Harold Roy Schatz, 79 of East Greenville, entered eternal rest on November 22, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Marianne (Myers) Schatz. Born in Sumneytown, he was a son of the late Claude and Dorothy Schatz. Harold served in the United States Army as a Corporal from 1952-1954. Following his service, he became a private small aircraft pilot. He worked as a supervisor in the production room at the former Firestone Tire Company in Pottstown for over 30 years. After retiring, he enjoyed being part of the ground crew at Limerick Airport for 19 years. Harold was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member and Past Master of Union Lodge 479 F&AM in Birdsboro. He is survived by his wife, Marianne; daughter, Cynde wife of Paul Hunsberger of Trappe; a sister, Ruthanne wife of Gerald Miller of Pottstown; and 9 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1244 St. Paul’s Church Rd., Pennsburg. Call at the church from 9:30 – 10:30.
