Harold O. Badman, 86, lifetime resident of Pennsburg, Upper Hanover and Milford Townships died April 15, 2011. He was the son of the late Otto and Clara (Seyfarth) Badman and loving husband of Verna (Schultz) Badman. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps as an airplane flight mechanic and preflight specialist during World War II. He also worked as an automobile and truck mechanic for Snyder and Kurts, and Berman's Truck Center. He manufactured retread truck tires at Perkasie Vulcanizing and assembled furniture at Knoll's in East Greenville until his retirement in 1989. He was a member of the Pennsburg United Church of Christ during his youth, and Palm Schwenkfelder Church during his married life. In his spare time he enjoyed raising farm animals, gardening, drawing, painting and hunting. Harold was a very generous man who often helped people with various things without asking anything in return and often gave of his bountiful garden crops to friends and co-workers. Surviving with his wife, Verna, are his children: Karl and his wife Michelle of Pennsburg with children Sarah, Philip and Emily; Curtis and his wife Deborah of Bradenton, FL with children Keith and Kyle; and Tina and her husband David Stelzl of Waxhaw, NC with children Hannah, Sarah, David, Bethany, Jonathan, Josiah and Timothy; his sister Marie Shupp of Pennsburg and brother-in-law William N. Schultz. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Roland Shupp; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Anders) Schultz; and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Stelzl. Memorial service is at Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main St., Pennsburg Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 4:30pm. Relatives and friends may call from 3-4:30pm. Funeral services and interment will be held privately for the family.
