Goldie Koch

Goldie I. Koch, of Willings Lane, Hellertown, died August 12, 2008 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s. She was the wife of Ernest Koch and the late Stephen Ferrani, who died in 1965. Born in Lower Saucon Township, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Feher) Simon. She worked in various sewing factories early in life. She was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Hellertown. She was devoted to her family and especially her grandchildren. Surviving: Loving Husband, beloved daughter, Nancy Merritt, of Bethlehem; son Jeffrey Koch, of Eliot, ME; and daughter, VerLynn Haneke, of Greensboro, MD; siblings: Elizabeth Chromczak, of Allentown; Irma wife of Joseph Verba and William Simon, both of Lower Saucon Township; 6 grandchildren Corey, Justin, Valerie, Karl and two in Maryland; and great-grandson, Jacob.
