Gloria M. Scheidler

Gloria (Kagel) Scheidler of Sacred Heart Senior Living of Center Valley passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at age 93. Gloria was born to the late Carl and Anna (Wargo) Kagel, and lived in Hellertown her entire life. She graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School in 1950. She was a devoted member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Hellertown where she sang in the choir and was the librarian at St. Theresa's School until her retirement.

Gloria married William Scheidler on May 3, 1952. She and Bill shared 62 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they created a loving home filled with warmth and joy, where their children learned the values of love, compassion, and resiliency.

Their modest home in Hellertown, was a colorful showcase of flowers and vegetables that highlighted Gloria's gift for gardening, which she worked on daily with incredible vigor until her final days.

She passed on her keen sense of humor to her family. Holiday dinners were always lively, joyful, and fun, with all opinions allowed, but a kind- hearted rebuttal may be coming your way. Gloria's good- natured acceptance of life carried through to the end, and was an inspiration to all.

Survivors: Son: William and his wife Mary of Port Orchard, WA., Daughter: Carol Sikora and her partner Rick Kirkpatrick of Allentown, 4 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William, and son, Edward of West Jordan, UT.

Services: Family and friends who all knew and loved Gloria are invited to join us 10-11am Friday May 1, 2026 at the Connell Falk Funeral Home & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown, followed by a prayer service at 11am celebrating her life and legacy and honoring her memory and the profound impact she had on all our lives. Interment will conclude services at the Union Cemetery of Hellertown.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gloria's memory to a charity of your choice. Gloria will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched, a reminder of a life well-lived. May she rest in eternal peace.
