Glenn Wesselmann

March 21, 1932 — January 27, 2017

Glenn A. Wesselmann, 84, of Kirkland Village, Bethlehem, and formerly of Hilton Head Island, and Grosse Pointe Shores, MI, passed away January 27, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Genevieve (DeWitt) Wesselmann. Born in Cleveland, OH, he was a son of the late Roy A. and Dorothy (Oakes) Wesselmann. He served in the Army. He was the President and CEO of the St. John Hospital & Medical Center, Detroit, MI. Glenn was a graduate of Dartmouth College, and held an MBA from Cornell University. He also completed the Leadership Detroit Program. After moving to Hilton Head, Glenn took an active role at the Providence Presbyterian Church serving as a Member of Session. Surviving with his wife, are children: Debbie Wesselmann and her spouse, Daniel Lopresti, of Hellertown, PA; Scott Wesselmann, and his spouse, Denise, of Shelby Township, MI and; Janet Wesselmann and her spouse, Michael Doran, of Basking Ridge, NJ; a brother: Lee Wesselmann, and his spouse, Beatrice, of Sarasota, FL; and grandchildren: Travis Wesselmann (spouse-Esther), Meggan (engaged to Mark Krzesak), Lauren Wesselmann, Courtney Lopresti (spouse-Callie Vaughn), Burke Doran (engaged to Becca Hayn) & Patrick Doran; and great-grandchildren: Faith & Hope Wesselmann. A Celebration of Life will be at 11 AM on Saturday, February 4th in the Auditorium of the Kirkland Village, Bethlehem.
