Gladys Schantz

Gladys (Beal) Schantz died June 23, 2009 in Reading, PA where she lived with her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Daniel Kranis. She was 84. She and her husband lived and raised their children in Hellertown, PA where she was a nurse in the office of Dr. George Way for many years. She also worked with her husband in the office of the Weiss-Schantz Insurance Agency, Hellertown. They retired to Sebastian, FL in 1974 where they lived for 20 years. In Sebastian, she was a trained Emergency Medical Technician. Surviving are daughters, Sallie Williams and husband William of Baton Rouge, LA; Suzanne Kranis, and husband Daniel; sons: Charles and wife Lois (Gross), and Timothy, and wife Donna (Prestosh), both of Hellertown, PA; sister, Mary Drosnock of Nazareth, PA; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles G. Schantz, Jr. and her parents William and Edith Beal of Chapman Quarries, PA. Services: will be graveside on Tuesday at 11 AM at Memorial Park, Bethlehem. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Hellertown, is in charge of arrangements.
