George W. Zettlemoyer of Bethlehem, known to his family as “Poppy”; passed away December 3,2021. He was 92 years old. Born in Bethlehem. He was the son of Herbert A. Sr and Marion C. (Woerner) Zettlemoyer. He was the loving husband of Elsie D. (Reinhard) Zettlemoyer, sharing 54 years of marriage until her passing in 2013. George was a 1947 graduate of Bethlehem High School. He proudly served as a corporal in the United States Army and Reserves. He retired from a lengthy career as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Hellertown. George was a lifelong member of the American Legion in Hellertown. His hobbies included the mastery to construct anything from snow forts to sheds, garages or home additions. He also enjoyed frequent trips to the nearby casino. George will be dearly missed by his daughters Susan E. Spaulding of Bethlehem and Tina L. Kromer and husband David of Danielsville. Sister June Maculesky of Bethlehem. Grandchildren Christopher Brosky and wife Jami of Nazareth, Sara Zizza and husband Steven Jr of Coatesville. Great grandchildren Kelley Brosky , Logan and Cameron Zizza and also nieces. Along with wife Elsie, he was predeceased by brother Herbert Zettlemoyer Jr. and stepson Dale Stover.
