George Windish, 66, of East Greenville, passed away in his home with his family by his side on February 11, 2012. He and his beloved wife Roberta (Reinert) Windish celebrated 38 years of marriage last July. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Charles and Estella Mae (Miller) Windish. George was a lifetime member of Huff's Union Church in Alburtis. He was the owner and operator of Schell Memorials in East Greenville since taking over the business in 1984. Prior to that, he worked for the former C.W. Kline Granite Works in Gilbertsville from 1963. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed deer hunting.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a son Craig and his wife Hillarie, and their daughter, Kylie Giorgianna of Lynnwood, WA; a brother, Dennis Lee Miller and his wife Bea of Barto; a sister Mary Ann wife of Lenus Hess of Boyertown; a special niece Jody Lynn, his nieces, Dianne and Susan; and nephews, Brian and Eric. Along with his parents, he was pre-deceased by a son Todd Michael who died in 1998.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, at Huffs Union Church, 540 Conrad Rd., Barto, PA 18011. Call at the church from 9 to 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered in his memory to the Capital Improvement Fund of the church.
