George E. Ricker, 95 years old of Palmer Township, PA passed away May 26, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus. He was born January 24, 1925 in Easton, PA to Paul and Dorothy Ricker. He graduated from Easton High School, class of 1942. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Pearl Marie (Todaro) Ricker, who died in 2009. George was a WWII Navy Veteran who served on the USS Tatum DE789 as a radioman in the European and Pacific Theaters. He received two Battle Stars. He retired from Ingersoll Rand after 40 years as a pump inspector. He was a musician who previously played saxophone in Mark Hilburn’s, Ken Brader’s, and other local orchestras. He also enjoyed piloting small aircraft. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends. He is survived by his children Linda Rogers of Palmer Township, PA, Georgeann Weiser (Richard) of Lancaster, PA, and Karen Rinehart (Randall) of Perkasie, PA. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and 9 great, great grandchildren. George would most appreciate everyone spreading kindness. Arrangements have been entrusted to Falk Funeral Home, Hellertown, PA. Due to the pandemic, a celebration of life and memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association, diabetes.org or Homeless Veterans, va.gov.
