Genivieve Virus

Genivieve M. Virus, 90, of Kutztown Road, East Greenville, died July 6, 2009. She was the widow of John Virus. Born in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Theodore and Josephine (Szyzska) Mikanowicz. She worked with her husband on the family farm in Sassamansville from 1950 until retiring in 1994. Before that, she was a sewing machine operator at the former Rosenau’s in Red Hill for 16 years. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. Surviving: are brothers, Stanley Mikanowicz, of Pennsburg; and Edward Mikanowicz, of Perkiomenville; and nieces and nephews. Services: 10:30 AM on Wednesday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg, followed by Mass at 11 AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg. Visitation will be from 9-10:30 AM on Wednsday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg. To offer on-line condolences, please visit www.falkfuneralhomes.com.
