Frederick Nevel

Frederick D. Nevel, 85, of Beavertown, PA, and formerly of Hellertown, passed away March 15, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Marian (Nause) Nevel. The couple was married 61 years last May. Born in Berwick, PA, he was a son of the late Elmer and Laura (Kittle) Nevel. Frederick served his country honorably in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Hellertown. He was also a member of the American Legion, Post # 397, Hellertown. Surviving with his wife, are sons: Dennis, and his wife, Susan, of Easton and Gary, and his wife, Kathy, of Selinsgrove; a brother: Harold, of Hazelton; grandchildren: Tiffany Porter, of Huntersville, NC; Chad Nevel of Kutztown; and Eric & Megan Nevel, both of Easton; and great-grandchildren: Addison, Austin, Emma and Grayson Porter. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Franklin, Loren, Laura, Bernadine, Edward, and Vera. Services: A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1408 Easton Rd, Hellertown. Viewing will be from 6-7:30 PM on Friday, and from 8:30-9:30 AM on Saturday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown.
