Frederick Edward Husk

September 17, 1947 — September 18, 2024

Frederick E. Husk, 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024. Born in Lansdale on September 17th, 1947, he was the son of the late Frederick Husk and Lillian M. Brown (Schwager). Fred was a hardworking lifelong truck driver, working with numerous trucking companies in his lifetime. His CB handle is Buffalo Herder. In his youth he became an Owner Operator, purchasing the 66 Kenworth K100 cabover he was driving from George Transfer. He loved vehicles, and was a dedicated, safe driver no matter what vehicle he was behind the wheel of. Fred loved his prized 57 Chevy Bel Air. He would give anyone the shirt off his back, and was always striking up conversation with strangers. He was passionate about food, loved going out to “throw groceries in his neck” or sharing his favorite snack with you. There are many Fred-isms you may remember, including “Lights on for Safety.” He was always joking around and making people laugh. He had an eye for treasure, and was an avid rockhound and collector.

Frederick is preceded in death by his siblings: Dave Husk and Denise Folks. Frederick is survived by his children: Laurel of Douglassville and Kenneth Moore of Gilbertsville; and his brothers Bruce and wife Joanne of Wilmington, DE, and John and Deborah of FL.

Services will be held privately.
