Franklin Murray

November 27, 1920 — January 23, 2016

Frank H. Murray Sr., 95, of Hellertown, died January 23, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Betty (Mindler) Murray and the late Margaret (Kichline) Murray. Born in Milford Square, he was a son of the late Jacob Murray and Edna (Emery) Murray. Frank served his country honorably in the Navy during WWII. He was the owner of Frank’s Auto Body Shop in Hellertown for 30 years and retired in 1982. American Legion in Hellertown, Dewey Fire Company, Mora Club of Bethlehem, a founding member of Williams Grove Old Timers and a founding member of Eastern Museum of Motor Racing in Latimer Valley, PA. Survivors: Along with his wife, Frank is survived by a son Frank Jr.; a stepson, Dennis Yost; a stepdaughter, Diane Henderson; four granddaughters; three step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and five step great grandchildren; a brother; and three sisters. Services: Graveside services will be held in Hellertown Union Cemetery at a later date.
