Franklin C. Boyer Sr., age 87, of Skippack, passed away May 15, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Eleanor (Josephson) Boyer. Born in Perkiomenville, he was a son of the late Reuben and Anna (Cressman) Boyer Sr. He served his country honorably in the Navy during the Korean War. Franklin was the Owner/Manager of the former Skippack Hardware Store from the 1950’s to the 1990’s. Afterwards, he was a school bus driver for the Metz Bus Company. Franklin was a member of the Skippack Fire Company. He enjoyed fishing and baking. Surviving with his wife, are children: Kathi, wife of Rex Saul, of Collegeville; and Franklin C. Boyer Jr., and his wife, Dianne, of Boyertown; siblings: Ida Lance, of Zieglerville; and Julia Snyder, of Quakertown; grandchildren: Andrew, Sarah, Rebecca, Laura, Steve, Jennifer, and Melissa; and great-grandchildren: Emily, Jessica, and Kathryn. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Reuben Boyer Jr. and Dorothy Fulton. Graveside Services will be private. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Skippack Fire Company, P.O. Box 1, Skippack, PA 19474.
