Frank B. Vasko, 91, of Hellertown, passed away at his home, on September 3, 2013. He was the loving husband of Ann E. (Holva) Vasko. Born in Hellertown on October 3, 1921, he was the last surviving child of the late Andrew and Mary (Palo) Vasko. Frank served his country honorably as a Corporal in the Marine Corps during WWII. He was a machinist for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation at the Homer Research Center for 42 years, retiring in 1982. Frank was a life long member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Hellertown, where he was an altar server and he trained lectors and servers. He was also a member of the Holy Name and St. Vincent DePaul Societies there. During the 1990s he was a member of the Saucon Valley School Board and was instrumental in the building of the Hellertown Area Library. Surviving: with his wife, are children: Dr. Francis, and his wife Nancy, of Hellertown; Marie, wife of William Egan, of Salisbury Township; Bernie, and his wife Rayann, of Bethlehem; and Joann, wife of Richard Fritz, of York, PA; grandchildren: Sarah and Claire Egan, Lisa, Andrew, and Austin Vasko, and Nikolaus and Katie Fritz. He was predeceased by siblings: John, Joseph, Anna (Vasko) Martin, Andrew Jr., Paul, George, and Stephen. Services: Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM on Saturday at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown. A viewing will be from 9-10 AM at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown. Contributions: May be made in his memory to the church.
