Frank George Toth, 88, of Allentown, passed away October 3, 2016. He was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Christopher and son Joseph Patrick. He was the beloved husband of Ruth M. (Meyers) Toth for 55 years. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Alexander and Eva (Bordas) Toth. Frank is survived by his children: Frank L. Toth of Apple Valley, CA, daughters Mary Ellen, Cheryl, and Christine wife of R. Scott Gahman. He has five loving grandchildren: Jonathan and wife Lauren, Seth, Elizabeth, Stephen and Timothy, and great granddaughter: Delaney. Surviving siblings: Mary Fox, Irene Donchez, Erma Nagy, Helen Opet, and sister- in- law Arlene Rholand. Numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased siblings: Julia Kalusic, John, Steve, Louis, Joseph Shivek and Alex Toth. He served our country honorably in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Frank was an instructor and coordinator for Job Corp, Edison, NJ. He enjoyed a full life traveling the country with his wife following retirement visiting friends and relatives. Frank volunteered with Mennonite Disaster Service in various states following natural disasters. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed studying astronomy, sketching, oil painting, and music. Among his favorites were Hungarian “Gypsy” music, Southern Gospel, and Classical. He was a devoted Grandfather and will be greatly missed. Services will be Saturday, October 8, 2016, 11 am, Steel City Mennonite Church, 2137 Mixsell Ave, Bethlehem, 18015. Friends may call from 10 am.
