Frank C. Farkash, 92, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 9th, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Francis and Matilda (Ott) Farkash. He was the beloved husband of Carol Farkash (Leidich). Frank was the owner of Farkash’s Greenhouse in Spinnerstown.
Along with his wife, Frank is survived by his children: Sue Burdock and her husband Sean of Quakertown, Kathleen Jefferson and her husband Michael of Angwin, CA, Connie Cole and her husband Jay of Cleveland, TN, Lisa Tilstra and her husband John of Chattanooga, TN, and Frank Farkash and his wife Kristie of Ameilia, OH; grandchildren: John, Grace, Joe, Emma, Rose, Aly, Sarah, Christopher, Nicholas, Abigail, Madison; and a sister, Esther Williams of Morganton, NC. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Eric, and a grandson, James.
Frank will be remembered by many for his lively accordian music and his long career of growing flowers. He was committed to great customer service with a commitment of “If your plants don’t grow, tell us so!” He enjoyed playing his accordian in church, for nursing home residents, and sharing Christmas carols in December. A highlight of his early life was playing accordian in the Ferko String Band and the Mummer’s Day Parade. He was fond of sunny weather, local antique car shows, tinkering with his ’61 Nash and ’65 Skylark convertible.
He will be laid to rest privately in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
