Frances Peterson

Frances J. Peterson, 94, of Pennsburg, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2012. She was the widow of Calvin Peterson who died in 1998. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Anielan (Szuryn) and John Lyzun. She was a sewing machine operator at the former Devon Knitting Mill in Eschbach and then she worked at Knoll Furniture Factory as an assembler. She was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ. She was an avid quilter and loved to crochet. She is survived by daughters: Annabelle, wife of Paul Frey of Oley; and Lorraine, wife of Clinton Haney of Pennsburg; grandchildren: Larry, Laverne, and Lamar; great grandchildren: Cody, Lita, Dustin, and Tera; a great great grandson: Vegas; sisters: Margaret Peterson and Freida Paulus. She was predeceased by a grandson Leon; brothers: John, and Paul; and sisters: Verna, Sophie, and Mary. Services will be held at 11 am on Thursday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. Call at the funeral home from 10 - 11.
