Florence H. Lavin, 86, of Pennsburg, PA passed away peacefully with members of her family at her side on December 24, 2010. Florence was born on September 1, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Andrew and Mary (Unruh) Hamilton, Sr. In 1946, she married the love of her life, the late Dr. Robert J. Lavin. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with, as well as bragging about, her family and their accomplishments. She was a member of the Golden Agers and the Upper Perkiomen Senior Citizens Center. She is survived by her children: Paul, and his wife, Lois, of Narberth; Dr. Linda Lavin and her husband, Dr. Norbert Leska, of Coopersburg; Judy and her husband Daniel Polinski of Sayre; Mark, and his wife, Stephanie, of Virginia Beach, VA; Janet and her husband, Daniel Carr of Newtown Square; Stephen, and his wife, Jane, of Apex, NC; Bill, and his wife, Mary, of Pennsburg; Ken, and his wife, Kim, of Emmaus; Floss and her husband, Jeff Hall of Sumneytown and Bob, and Janet McShane, of Macungie; grandchildren: Tim and Andrew Leska; Adam, Joseph, Stephen, Rachel and Sarah Polinski; Mark, Stephanie, Elizabeth, David, Joyce and Nicholas Lavin, Daniel, Michael and Kristin Carr; Holly and Elise Lavin; Jamie and Julie Lavin; Katie and Ken Lavin; Jessica and Jeremiah Hall; and Andrew Grippon. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Andrew Hamilton, Jr. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at a Funeral Mass to be held at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Road, Pennsburg on Friday December 31, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Call at the church from 10 – 11 a.m. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
