Florence E. Birkmire

Florence E. Birkmire, 89, of Green Lane, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Harry Belshaw and Margaret Ellis. She was part of a large family, being one of 10 children. She enjoyed ceramics, building puzzles, and playing mahjong. Florence's husband Richard predeceased her in 2022.

Surviving are her children: Richard Birkmire, and his wife Emma of Norristown, Glenn Birkmire of Palm, Carol Ann, and her husband David Wentzel of Barto; 3 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Richard, her son: David; and 9 siblings.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Thursday July 30, at Westminster Cemetery, 701 Belmont Ave, Bala Cynwyd, PA. She will be laid to rest with her husband Richard.
