Fern P. Schwager, 86, of Pennsburg, passed away peacefully at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center on June 29, 2013. She was the wife of the late Luther H. Schwager who died in 2001. Born in Line Lexington, PA, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Eva (Shup) Rosenberger. Early in life, she worked in the family business, the former Perkiomen Heights Hotel, she was a speaker in Diet Control Centers from 1971 to 1981, and an inspector for Artistic Glass Products in Trumbauersville from 1981 to 1992. She was a lifetime member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, she was an eloquent speaker at many of the funeral services of friends and church members. She was also a member of the Upper Perk Golden Agers and the Upper Perk Senior Center and their chorus. She was also the former chairman of the Upper Hanover Cancer Drive for ten years. Survivors: Son, Alan and his wife Linda, of Douglassville; daughters, Sandra, wife of John Shantz, and Patricia, wife of Kelvin Zook, both of Birdsboro; a brother, Lawrence and his wife Therese, of Schwenksville; eight grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert who died in 2011. Services: 11am, Wednesday, St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 81 N. Main St., Pennsburg. Call on Tuesday from 6-8pm at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg, and Wednesday from 9:45-10:45am in the church.
