Ethel Dalious

Ethel Eileen Dalious, 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Danville. For the last three and a half years she resided at Vintage Knolls Senior Living in Danville. Born in Catawissa, PA on November 25, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Ross and Carrie (Loreman) Fenstermacher. Ethel worked in garment factories and later as a waitress at various Bloomsburg area restaurants. She enjoyed reading, cooking and baking, sewing, and many crafts. She was a member of Christ United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Catawissa. She was also the Past President of the Southern Columbia Band Parents. She was an active volunteer at the Animal Resource Center in Bloomsburg. Her true loves in her life were her Shelties Lindy and Chloe. Surviving is a son Keith and his wife Sandra, of Hellertown, PA; granddaughters: Jenna Torres and her husband Robert, of Philadelphia, PA, and Susan Luchetta and her husband Erik, of Houston, TX; sisters: Joan Unangst and her husband Edward, of South Williamsport, PA, and Carolyn Zimmerman and her husband Calvin, of Stillwater, PA; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Max and Harry; and her sisters June Kressler, Patricia Dreisbach, and Ruth Lynn. Services will be private. Donations in memory of Ethel may be made to the Animal Resource Center, 301-A Boone Rd. Bloomsburg, PA 17815 or to the Christ United Evangelical Lutheran Church, 116 Church Street, Catawissa, PA 17820.
