Ernest Pierson

September 26, 1926 — June 17, 2013

Ernest S. Pierson, 86, of Red Hill, passed away June 17, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Althea H. (Ruth) Pierson. Born in Harleysville, he was a son of the late William and Anna (Spare) Pierson. Ernest served his country honorably in the Army in the Philippines during WWII. He was a molder in area foundries, first in Lynnfield, then Royersford, and finally in East Greenville for over 30 years before retiring. Ernest was an active member of Faith Bible Fellowship in Harleysville, where he was a past Elder and Sunday School Teacher. Surviving with his wife, are children David Frank Pierson, and his wife, Bonnie, of Graterford; and Darlene Faith, wife of Paul Drace, of Skippack; 3 grandchildren: Wendy, wife of Paul Pomainville; Ryan Drace, and his wife, Blair; and Julie, wife of Mike Sarro; and 6 great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a son, Ernest "Butch" Paul Pierson, in 2009; and a granddaughter, Melanie Drace in 1997; and he was the last of his 11 siblings. Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
